1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using TaskGig ("the Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
2. Description of Service
TaskGig is a microtask platform that connects employers with workers for the completion of small tasks. The Platform facilitates:
- Task posting and management for employers
- Task browsing and submission for workers
- Payment processing and fund management
- Communication between employers and workers
3. User Accounts
3.1 Account Creation
To use TaskGig, you must create an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
3.2 Account Types
TaskGig offers three types of accounts:
- Worker Accounts: For individuals seeking to complete tasks
- Employer Accounts: For individuals or businesses posting tasks
- Admin Accounts: For platform administrators
3.3 Account Responsibility
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Task Posting and Completion
4.1 Task Posting
Employers may post tasks with the following requirements:
- Clear and detailed task descriptions
- Specified proof requirements (photo or code)
- Target country for task completion
- Fair and reasonable payment amounts
4.2 Task Completion
Workers must:
- Complete tasks according to specified requirements
- Provide appropriate proof of completion
- Submit work within specified timeframes
- Maintain quality standards
4.3 Task Review Process
Employers have the right to review and approve or reject task submissions. Rejected submissions must include constructive feedback.
5. Payment Terms
5.1 Payment Processing
TaskGig facilitates payments between employers and workers through secure payment processors including PayPal, GCash, and Maya.
5.2 Payment Schedule
Payments are processed according to the following schedule:
- Workers receive payment after task approval
- Processing time: 1-3 business days
- Minimum withdrawal: $5
- Maximum withdrawal per transaction: $10
5.3 Service Fees
TaskGig charges a 5% service fee on completed tasks. No fees are charged for posting tasks or rejected submissions.
5.4 Refund Policy
Refunds are only provided in cases of technical errors or fraudulent activity. Refunds are not available for approved task completions.
6. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited on TaskGig:
- Posting illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits
- Submitting false or misleading information
- Attempting to manipulate the payment system
- Harassment or abuse of other users
- Violation of intellectual property rights
- Spam or unsolicited communications
- Any activity that violates applicable laws
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Platform Content
All content on TaskGig, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of TaskGig and protected by copyright and trademark laws.
7.2 User Content
Users retain ownership of content they submit but grant TaskGig a license to use, display, and distribute such content for platform operations.
7.3 Task Deliverables
Workers transfer ownership of completed tasks to employers upon payment approval, unless otherwise specified.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
TaskGig is committed to protecting user privacy. Our data collection and usage practices are detailed in our Privacy Policy.
- We collect only necessary information for platform operation
- User data is encrypted and securely stored
- We do not sell personal information to third parties
- Users can request data deletion at any time
9. Limitation of Liability
TaskGig provides the platform "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for:
- Direct, indirect, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits or business opportunities
- Technical issues or platform downtime
- Disputes between employers and workers
- Third-party payment processor issues
10. Dispute Resolution
10.1 Internal Resolution
Users should first attempt to resolve disputes through direct communication. TaskGig support may assist in mediation when appropriate.
10.2 Arbitration
Any disputes not resolved internally may be subject to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable laws.
11. Account Termination
11.1 User Termination
Users may terminate their accounts at any time by contacting support. Outstanding payments will be processed according to standard procedures.
11.2 Platform Termination
TaskGig reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for:
- Violation of these terms
- Fraudulent activity
- Abuse of the platform
- Legal or regulatory requirements
12. Changes to Terms
TaskGig reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or platform notification. Continued use constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by applicable local laws. Users are responsible for compliance with local regulations regarding online work and payment processing.
